Saudi Arabia has officially reduced the validity period of the Umrah entry visa from 90 days to only 30 days, according to the latest announcement reported by Saudi Gazette.
This means that anyone planning to perform Umrah must complete their entire journey — from arrival in the Kingdom to departure — within one month only.
The new policy is effective immediately, and it applies to all nationalities. Previously, Umrah pilgrims were allowed to stay up to three months (90 days) in Saudi Arabia, making it easier to combine Umrah with sightseeing or family visits.
With this adjustment, intending pilgrims must now plan their journey very carefully, as overstaying the 30-day visa could attract penalties and complications.
Officials say the move is part of ongoing efforts to streamline pilgrim management and ensure smooth preparations ahead of Hajj 1446/2025.
👉 What This Means for You as a Nigerian Pilgrim:
You can no longer stay up to 3 months for Umrah.
Once you enter the Kingdom, your visa will expire 30 days after entry.
Bookings, hotel reservations, and flights must fit strictly within the new timeframe.
Last-minute planning could lead to missed opportunities or high costs.
